We are hiring for ZEYANG CONSTRUCTION LIMITED, a professional construction company based in Auckland. We specialise in residential building projects and undertake a wide range of construction work across the Auckland region. We are currently seeking Carpenters to join our growing team.

● Location: Orewa, Auckland

● Job type: Full-time Permanent

● Number of positions for this job: up to 2

● Pay rate: $28.00  per hour

● Days required: 5 days per week, occasional Saturday work by agreement

● Hours per week: 30 hours per week, occasional overtime may be available by mutual agreement

 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

• Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications to determine construction requirements and installation procedures

• Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining timber and other materials

• Constructing, installing, renovating, and repairing structures and fixtures including frameworks, floors, walls, roofs, doors, and windows.

• Nailing panels, boards, and blocks into position using hand tools and power tools.

• Installing formwork and reinforcing frameworks for concrete pouring.

• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard of workmanship, safety, and quality.

• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times.

• Collaborating with other construction team members and contractors to meet project deadlines

• Complying with all building codes, health and safety regulations, and company standards

 

Job Requirement 

• Relevant prior 2 years of carpentry experience or a formal qualification that demonstrates skills relevant to the requirements of the position.

• A 'can-do' attitude

• Have an eye for detail

• Self-motivated

• Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree or higher are not restricted to a particular major.
