We are looking for a reliable Driver to join our team, transporting and delivering general freight and furniture safely and  efficiently. The role includes driving, assisting with loading and unloading, and providing courteous customer service. 

Key responsibilities 

• Drive company vehicles safely to collect, transport and deliver freight and furniture. 

• Plan routes, follow delivery schedules and maintain accurate delivery records. 

• Assist with loading and unloading, handle goods carefully, and ensure loads are balanced and securely restrained.

• Carry out vehicle safety checks, report defects promptly, and keep vehicles and equipment clean and well  presented. 

• Complete logbooks where required and comply with applicable work-time and rest-time requirements.

• Follow road rules, speed limits and company health and safety procedures, taking account of road, weather and  load conditions. 

• Report accidents, damage, incidents and traffic infringements promptly to the manager. Requirements 

• Hold a current, valid driver licence; overseas driver licence is acceptable. 

• Have a clean driving history with no demerit points, and no suspension or disqualification that prevents you from  driving. 

• Be reliable, punctual and well presented, with good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

• Be physically fit and able to safely lift and move heavy items, with suitable strength, stamina and dexterity.

• Drug and alcohol test clearance is compulsory. 

• Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards is an advantage; training will be provided.

Location: Bay of Plenty

Employment : Permanent, full-time

Days : Monday to Sunday, on a roster basis

Hours  :Minimum 30 hours per week, over 5 days

Pay: NZ$27.00-$32.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
