Lead the design and implementation of improved financial-advice processes

Advice Manager

Here at BNZ, it's about more than just banking. We work together in an agile, energising environment to create innovative solutions through our promise "If you can imagine a better future, let's find a way."

We support wellbeing, flexible working and have a generous leave offering. There is the opportunity for growth, learning and career development. No two days are the same.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Advice Manager to join our Wealth & Advice team and help shape the future of BNZ's advice capability. This role will be based in our Auckland CBD office.

Working closely with the Head of Advice and key stakeholders, you'll bring fresh thinking to improve and transform advice processes, customer journeys and operating models across banking, wealth and insurance products. You'll also support advice-related change, quality assurance, and opportunities to use innovation and technology to improve adviser and customer outcomes.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems creatively, learning as they go, bringing people together, and delivering change that makes a real difference for customers.

What You'll Bring

We'd love to hear from experienced advice professionals who are curious, creative, open to learning, and passionate about finding better ways to deliver great customer outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in financial advice development, advisory support or a similar role.
  • Proven success designing and implementing customer-focused advice processes, customer journeys and operating models.
  • A strong understanding of New Zealand financial services, financial advice regulation, and wealth and insurance products.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
  • Experience leading or supporting change initiatives across complex environments.
  • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to explore new ideas and make sound recommendations in evolving situations.
  • A growth mindset, with a passion for improving customer outcomes through creative problem solving, process optimisation, innovation and technology.
  • A Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services, or equivalent is essential

This is an exciting opportunity to join us! We're bold thinkers who are taking brave steps to create a company that people want to work for, and customers want to bank with. If you're ready to join a fun organisation where we are proud of our culture and how we are helping New Zealanders to 'Find their way', then show your interest by submitting your application - we can't wait to read it.

Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini" - Success is not the work of an individual, but the work of many."

Closing Date: 10 November 2026
