Progressive Meats are looking for reliable, hardworking people to join our processing team in Hastings, Hawkes Bay.  Minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience required.

What you’ll do: Work on the processing line handling, cutting, trimming, packing or labelling meat products, keep your work area clean and hygienic, and follow food safety and health and safety procedures.

What we’re looking for: You’re physically fit and comfortable standing for long periods in a cold environment, able to do repetitive tasks, reliable and punctual, and willing to work early starts, shifts and overtime when needed.

Department 10-hour Shift start times Monday to Friday are:

  • Lamb Boning Dayshift, 6:00 am, Nightshift 4:00 pm
  • Beef Boning Dayshift 6:00 am

Weekend availability required from time to time

The minimum amount of hours per week is 30.

These roles require:

  • High level of physical and mental fitness
  • Great attitude and work ethic
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable means of transport
  • Be able to pass a Drug Screen and Pre-employment Medical
  • An ACC Pre-employment Check report
  • A Ministry of Justice Check

The pay scale is: $26.50 - $29.66 per hour
