Data Service Delivery Manager
Every smart business decision starts with data people can trust. Join our ANZ Data & Analytics team as Data Service Delivery Manager and keep that trust strong, every single day.
Based in Auckland within our IT, Data & Digital function, you will own the reliability, performance and continuous improvement of Danone ANZ's critical data services, from our delta lakehouse and data pipelines to reporting and Data Governance.
This is a high-impact, highly visible role at an exciting time. As our data capability matures, you will lead incident and problem management, strengthen service governance and help shape our future data service operating model.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Own data service performance, including SLAs, service reporting and operational dashboards, Power BI, Databricks and Snowflake.
- Lead end-to-end data incident management, bringing internal teams and partners together to restore service fast.
- Drive problem management to fix root causes and reduce recurring incidents.
- Strengthen ITIL-aligned service governance for a trusted, unified data service.
- Manage service providers, platform vendors and systems integrators, including negotiating and monitoring contracts.
- Partner with Business Data Owners and Data Stewards to ensure solutions are adopted and well governed.
- Evolve data service processes, controls and operating frameworks in line with our Data & Analytics roadmap.
- Present clear service and incident reports to Data & Analytics leadership and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to our Operations Strategy through the 4Cs and champion our health and safety standards.
You are a calm, organised service leader who brings clarity to complexity. You know ITIL/ITSM practices inside out and have hands-on experience with Databricks and Snowflake, so you understand what it takes to keep modern data platforms running smoothly.
Proactive and accountable, you spot issues early, make fact-based calls under pressure and build trust with stakeholders, vendors and technical teams alike.
Ideally, you will have:
- A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Data/Analytics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in Service Delivery or Incident Management.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL/ITSM practices, with working experience in tools such as ServiceNow and Jira (ITIL certification is a plus).
- Hands-on experience working with Databricks and Snowflake, plus familiarity with Azure and Power BI.
- Proven experience managing critical incidents and driving service restoration.
- A solid understanding of data pipelines, data warehouses, BI reporting and data quality controls.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills, including complex supplier relationships.
