ACE Builderz is seeking an experienced motivated and commercially minded Project Manager /  Project Engineer to support our growing business, lead project delivery and help build lasting relationship with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders. 


The Project Manager / Project Engineer will lead and coordinate construction and engineering projects from initial planning through to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from feasibility, planning and design coordination through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.

  • Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, cash flow forecasts and cost reports.

  • Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, cash flow forecasts and cost reports.

  • Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and site personnel.

  • Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, estimates and construction methodologies.

  • Monitor progress against agreed time, cost, quality and performance targets.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, engineering standard, consents conditions and health and safety requirements. 

  • Support the development of the business through client engagement, tender opportunities and professional relationship. 

  • Identify and manage project risks, technical issues, delays, cost overruns and also manage contract administration,variation, claims and payments assessments. 

  • Conduct site inspections, progress meetings and quality reviews.

Essential Requirements

  • At least five years of relevant experience in construction, engineering or project management, preferably at a senior level.

  • A qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline.

  • Strong understanding of project controls, cost management, programming, procurement and contract administration.

  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction plans, technical specifications and project documentation.

  • A current New Zealand driver's licence and the right to work in New Zealand.
