Regional Transport Drivers, Class 2 & Above

MOVD is a rapidly growing New Zealand transport and logistics company, and we're looking for reliable, experienced and motivated Regional Transport Drivers holding a Class 2 licence or above to join our expanding Tauranga operation.

We're building a professional nationwide transport network and want quality drivers who take pride in their work, respect their equipment and provide outstanding customer service.

These positions focus on regional vehicle transport, including cars, SUVs, 4WDs, light commercial vehicles and other approved loads between dealerships, businesses, depots and customers.

About the Role

You'll operate within our regional transport network, servicing Tauranga, Auckland, Hamilton, the wider Bay of Plenty, Waikato and surrounding regions as required.

Our growing regional fleet includes specialist vehicle transport trucks and car-carrying equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating regional vehicle transport trucks safely and professionally

• Collecting and delivering customer vehicles

• Loading and unloading vehicles onto transport equipment

• Correctly securing vehicles using approved restraint methods

• Completing daily truck and equipment inspections

• Checking vehicles for existing damage before collection

• Completing vehicle condition reports and handover documentation

• Taking required photographs during collections and deliveries

• Using company transport and tracking systems

• Communicating with customers, dealerships and our operations team

• Following allocated daily transport schedules

• Reporting defects, incidents or damage immediately

• Maintaining clean, professional and presentable equipment

• Complying with NZ transport regulations and company safety procedures

• Competitive hourly wages of $27 - $32, depending on experience

What We're Looking For

We're looking for drivers who:

• Hold a current NZ Class 2 Driver Licence or above

• Have proven commercial driving experience

• Are confident operating trucks in regional and urban environments

• Understand vehicle safety and load restraint

• Are comfortable loading and unloading vehicles

• Can confidently drive manual and automatic vehicles

• Have strong attention to detail

• Are reliable, punctual and organised

• Communicate professionally with customers

• Are comfortable using smartphones and digital job systems

• Take pride in keeping trucks and equipment clean

• Are physically capable of performing the role safely

• Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Put safety first

Previous experience with vehicle transporters, car carriers, tilt trays or specialist transport equipment would be a major advantage.

However, if you're an experienced Class 2 or higher driver with the right attitude and willingness to learn, we'd still like to hear from you.
