Plumber

All Trades Contract Services is seeking multiple experienced and qualified Plumbers for a large-scale residential water metering programme in Hamilton.

Working alongside other Plumbers and Water Technicians, you will modify existing water supply pipework, install and connect water meters and associated fittings, and test completed connections. You will also use mobile applications, including Simpro, to record completed work and maintain accurate job records.

About the role

• Fixed Term Contract to 1st October 2030
• Minimum guranteed 30 hours per week
• Starting wage of $30.00 to $32.00 per hour 

Key Responsibilities

• Assess existing residential water supply connections and determine requirements for meter installation.
• Isolate water supplies and prepare existing pipework for installation.
• Measure, cut and modify existing water supply pipework to accommodate new water meters.
• Fit and connect water meters, valves, fittings and associated plumbing components.
• Reconnect water supplies and test completed connections for leaks and correct operation.
• Identify and report damaged, unsuitable or deteriorated pipework that may affect installation work.
• Use appropriate hand and power tools to undertake plumbing and installation activities.
• Work alongside other Plumbers and Water Technicians to meet project requirements.
• Complete work in accordance with project requirements and installation specifications.
• Use mobile applications and job management systems, including Simpro, to record installation data and completed work.
• Maintain accurate job information and project records.
• Communicate professionally with residential customers and team members.
• Follow workplace health and safety requirements and maintain high standards of workmanship.

Minimum Requirements

• New Zealand Registered Plumber with a current practising licence.
• Relevant plumbing experience.
• Ablility to measure, cut, modify and connect water supply pipework.
• Ability to install and connect plumbing fittings and associated components.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. 
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Ability to drive between residential client sites thorughout the Waikato region.
