Store Assistant

Our busy liquor store in Kawerau is presently looking for Liquor store assistant. 

The business is open 7 days a week and the roles require working variable roster including nights and weekend work.

About the role

• Engage with customers, ask questions and drive sales.
• Comply with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act and Host Responsibility policies.
• Support the Store Manager with an array of operational tasks and projects, including stock ordering, stock takes, banking, cash handling, merchandising and much more.
• Restocking depleted or low store items.
• Labeling goods and ensuring the correct price is displayed.
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards according to established guidelines.
• Assisting the service delivery team with orders.
• Opening and closing of premises and associated security.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Processing customer payments using the shop's Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of store items to provide advice and recommendations as needed.
• Any other duties as required to ensure the effective operation of the store.

• A natural ability to build rapport with any customer and assist their buying decisions.
• Physically fit, hardworking and reliable person
• The ability to work as a part of the team and as on your own
• Great communication skills

Experience: An experience of 6 to 12 months is preferred for this role. However, training will be provided to the right candidate.

Certifications: LCQ is required.

Pay and Benefits:

• Hourly rate ranges from $28 to $30
• The hours of work will be between 30 to 40 hours per week
