Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Remove rough spots and imperfections from vehicle panels
• Sand vehicle surfaces by hand and with power sanders to prepare them for
  painting
• Mask areas not to be painted using masking tape and paper
• Match colours and mix paints to match the vehicle's paint shade, or select pre-
  mixed paint
• Apply primer and finishing coats using spray guns, and sand surfaces between coats
• Touch up paintwork and apply polish to vehicles
• Remove masking paper, and wax and polish finished paintwork
• Treat vehicles with rust-proofing chemicals where required
• Operate and maintain spray guns, the spray booth and other painting equipment, and keep the work area clean
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including the correct use of protective equipment when handling paints and chemicals

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

• At least two years’ work experience gained in the relevant industry OR a level 4 or
  above relevant qualification.
• Knowledge of vehicle surface preparation, masking, sanding and spray-gun painting
  techniques.
• Ability to match and mix paint colours accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of finish.
• Ability to work safely with paints, solvents and equipment, following health and safety
  procedures.
• Ability to work well in a team.
