Vape World Queenstown is opening a specialist vape retail store at Unit 15, 159 Gorge Road, Queenstown, and requires a Store Manager to oversee daily operations. This is a full-time, permanent position with a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours per week, rostered across 7 days, including weekends and public holidays. Additional hours may occasionally be required.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage daily store operations, including opening, closing and cash handling
  • Decide product mix, stock levels and customer service standards
  • Order stock from New Zealand suppliers and carry out weekly stock counts
  • Set prices and run promotions within company guidelines and the Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products Act 1990
  • Serve customers, advise them on products, and check ID on every sale
  • Keep stock and sales records, prepare weekly reports and manage the store budget
  • Recruit, train, roster and supervise retail staff
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and the store’s Ministry of Health approval

Minimum requirements

A relevant Level 5 Diploma , or at least 3 years of relevant work experience
