Wanted SCAFFOLDERS for Eagle Recruitment & Contracting in WELLINGTON

We are seeking motivated and experienced Scaffolders to join our dynamic team. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely and efficiently assembling and dismantling scaffolding structures across various construction sites following New Zealand safety standards and industry best practices. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent practical skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembling and Dismantling Scaffolding: Safely and efficiently erect, dismantle, and modify scaffolding structures according to blueprints, drawings, and site specifications.
  • Inspecting Scaffolding: Conduct thorough inspections of scaffolding components and erected structures to ensure stability and safety, identifying and reporting any defects or hazards.
  • Following Safety Regulations: Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport scaffolding materials and equipment on and off site.
  • Working at Heights: Work comfortably and safely at heights, using appropriate fall protection equipment.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other scaffolders, construction workers, and site supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintaining Equipment: Maintain and care for scaffolding tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve potential issues related to scaffolding erection and dismantling.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of scaffolding inspections, modifications, and other relevant information.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any potential issues.
  • Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organised work area.

 

Requirements and Skills:

  • NZQCF Level 4 qualification or higher in Scaffolding or at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of scaffolding systems and techniques.
  • Current Site Safe passport.
  • A valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and scaffolding plans.
  • Strong understanding of NZ health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Experience operating a forklift is an advantage.
  • Be willing to undergo random drug tests while employed.
  • Must be NZ Citizen, NZ Resident or eligible to work in NZ.

 

The successful applicants will also have the opportunity to work in different locations (Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Nelson-Tasman, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago and Southland), providing a unique chance to explore New Zealand's diverse regions.

 

This is a full-time permanent role, and the hourly pay rate is between NZ$24 and NZ$37, depending on experience and qualification. The work hours are from 30 hours minimum to 70 hours maximum per week, and they are to be worked between Monday and Friday between 7 am and 5 pm. They may be required to work on weekends.
