We provide renowned expert solutions based on processing and refining our mineral resources, synthetic minerals and formulations.  We are currently looking for a Heavy Fabrication/Maintenance Fitter at our Matauri Bay Plant.

 

The Heavy Fabrication/Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all equipment and plant operate at an optimum level. The role involves maintaining the reliability of Imery's assets to ensure safe, effective, and efficient operation, reducing maintenance downtime, and executing projects as required. The Engineer must assure the right condition of machines after repairs and before start-up to prevent repetitive failures or rework.

Your Key duties would include:

  • Fabrication including tanks, stairs, steel decks, platforms, rotary dryers etc.
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance & repairs on plant equipment;
  • Process Improvement including through addressing mechanical constraints;
  • Process improvement;
  • Documentation and Reporting;
  • Safety, Health and Environment (EHS) compliance;
  • Innovation including implementing new tools & techniques.

Qualifications/Experience/Abilities:

  • Relevant Trades Qualification (e.g. Fitter/Fabricator/Plater-Boilermaker/Electro-Mechanical)
  • Manufacturing plant maintenance experience
  • Strong understanding of heavy fabrication & construction techniques for large plant machinery e.g. Rotary Dryer; Grinding Mills; Decanter Centrifuges etc.)
  • Experience in problem-solving tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in CMMS systems
  • Root Cause Failure Analysis, and Failure Mode Effect Analysis
  • Working at Heights and Confined Space, Forklift, Gantry crane experience and any legally required certificates (or ability to readily obtain)
