Are you a talented carpenter with a passion for crafting quality structures? Join Hope Construction, a leading construction company based in Auckland dedicated to excellence and innovation. We’re expanding our team and are looking for five skilled carpenters who take pride in their craft. This is a permanent full-time position, and you are required to work at least 30 hours per week between Monday to Saturday. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans to understand project requirements.

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials for building frameworks, walls, floors, doors, cabinets, and more.

• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, stairs, molding, and trims.

• Repair damaged structures or fixtures and replace parts as necessary.

• Conduct regular maintenance checks and recommend solutions for wooden structure improvements.

• Select and procure appropriate tools and materials for each task.

• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines on job sites.

• Ensure compliance with local building codes and project specifications.

• Work closely with other construction team members, including electricians, plumbers, and project managers, to complete projects efficiently.

• Communicate project updates and challenges effectively to supervisors.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience as a carpenter in construction or similar industries OR

• Relevant qualification at NZQA Level 4 or higher 

• Strong knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Physical fitness and a commitment to safety
