Job Description:

We work daily on:

1) all aspects of vehicle dismantling, using hand tools, bolt cutters and oxyacetylene torch.

2) Salvages usable parts from wrecked cars/ trucks in auto salvage yard. 

3) Cleans parts, using solvents & brush, or vapor-degreasing machine and stores parts in bins according to condition...

4) Sorts, piles, and loads scrap on railroad cars or trucks

5) Mechanical vehicle fixing, diagnostics and repair across all aspects of vehicle/light truck vehicle electrical and electronic systems with a broad range of makes and models .

6) Repair brake and steering systems.

7) Maintain a clean, safe working environment

 

Job Requirements

• At least two years  previous experience as a General/Motor Mechanic

• Ability to work with a team 

• Physically fit

This is a full time and permanent position. 

Work up to 50 hours per week with minimum guaranteed 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm. Pay rates from $31 to $40 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Early Starts, late finishes or additional days such as Saturday work may also be required on occasion to meet operational requirements
