💵 Pay Rate: $25 – $30.00 per hour (depending on experience and skills)

Nelson Courier Services is a well-established and reputable courier company delivering reliable and efficient pick-up and delivery services across the Nelson region. We are expanding our team and looking for one motivated, customer-focused Courier Drivers to join us in delivering excellence.

Due to the nature of the role, travel across the Nelson region is required.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Sort and sequence items for efficient delivery routes

• Deliver mail, parcels, documents, and other items to homes, businesses, and mailboxes

• Pick up packages from customers and safely transport to designated locations

• Collect signatures and payments for cash-on-delivery (COD) items

• Issue receipts and ensure accurate delivery documentation

• Complete daily delivery logs and maintenance checklists

• Load and unload delivery vehicles, including oversized goods (e.g., bicycles, furniture)

• Assist with sorting and processing redirected or incorrectly addressed items

• Follow all company and health & safety protocols

🧰 Requirements

• A current and valid New Zealand Class 1 driver’s licence

• Confident driving a high-roof van (e.g., Toyota Hiace), class one Truck and manual vehicles

• Physically fit — able to lift up to 20kg regularly

• Criminal and drug test will be conducted upon success

• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Familiarity with the Nelson region is an advantage

• Previous courier/delivery experience atleast 6 months to 12 months preferred

• Class 2 licence is beneficial but not essential

• Must hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand
