Position: Private Tutor (Humanity/Sociology/History)

 

Job Overview:

The Private Tutor is responsible for helping students improve their academic performance by providing one-on-one or group instruction in various subjects. The tutor will assess students' needs, develop personalized learning plans, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to each student's learning style and pace.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess students' academic strengths and weaknesses.

- Develop customized lesson plans that align with students' goals and learning styles.

- Teach and explain concepts in subjects such as math, science, English, and other areas as needed.

- Provide homework help and study skills guidance.

- Monitor students' progress and adjust lesson plans as necessary.

- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment.

- Communicate regularly with parents about students’ progress and areas of improvement.

- Encourage and motivate students to reach their academic potential.

 

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or above in relevant subject area

- Or at least 5 years’ experience in tutoring or teaching; experience with a specific age group may be needed.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Patience and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.

- Knowledge of different educational tools and techniques.

 

Working hours:

30 hours per week

Salary:

$35 per hour
