Rooney Earthmoving Ltd is a large family-owned South Island business with work bases in Invercargill, Oamaru, Waimate, Timaru, Ashburton and Christchurch. We have been around for over 45 years and have become a trusted, progressive brand in the civil construction industry.

We are currently recruiting for permanent roles to join our team in Waimate.

Due to our continual growth of local work, we have a need for Excavator Operators and Class 5 Drivers for the Waimate civil construction team. We are looking for applicants with attributes including:

  • Skills with experience across all types of equipment.
  • Experienced at working on farm and earthmoving development works.
  • Excellent attention to safe operating and can look after the gear.
  • Knows about productivity and functions with a positive attitude.
  • Willing to work with flexibility on different plant including occasional labouring.
