We are a construction company based in Christchurch. We are looking for additional 2 carpenters to join our supportive team. This role is full time minimum of 30 hours  with opportunity to work overtime. Hourly rate is from $24-$30 depending on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Able to follow instructions.
  • Able to work in a team environment and follow all health and safety requirements.
  • Can read, understand and interpret plans.
  • Build internal walls and partitions, erect roof and window framing, build staircases and layout floorboards or sub-flooring.
  • Build and install fascia panels and cladding of any kind.
  • Shape and cut materials using hand or power tools to specified measurements.
  • Assemble and nail prepared parts to form framework or structures for constructing buildings or internal fittings.
  • Repair and renovate residential or commercial projects.
  • Can assemble metal frames and wood frames for new build or renovation projects.

To be successful you will need to have:

  • Minimum 3 years experience either in NZ or overseas.
  • Own transport required.
  • Can work within the Canterbury Region.
  • Own tools - a bonus but not neccesary.
  • Must pass a drug test and MOJ check.
  • Physically fit.
