Job Description & Responsibilities:

R C Store Ltd (T/A Wellsford NZ Post & Kiwi Bank) is seeking three reliable and detail-oriented full-time officers to support our daily banking operations and customer services. Successful candidates will join a supportive and professional team committed to delivering excellent financial services to the local community.

 

Key responsibilities include:

a)        Welcoming customers, assessing their needs, and providing prompt assistance to their inquiries

b)        Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of customer-submitted forms and identification documents

c)        Receiving cash deposits, confirming associated records and receipts, and processing credits to customer accounts

d)        Handling cash withdrawals and other over-the-counter transactions in accordance with bank procedures

e)        Setting up and cancelling automatic payment instructions for customers

f)         Processing new bank card applications, cancellations, lost card reports, and PIN setup or changes

g)        Assisting customers with internet banking setup and support

h)        Handling cash transactions including providing change and ensuring accurate entry of all activities

i)          Performing daily cash counts, preparing funds for collection by relevant departments, and maintaining clear transaction records

j)          Monitoring cash balances and promptly reporting any discrepancies or cash position updates to supervisors

k)        Directing customers to the appropriate branch personnel or departments for further assistance

 

Hours of Work:

A minimum of 30 hours per week is guaranteed. Working hours are scheduled between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, on a rostered basis. Total weekly hours may increase up to 40 hours depending on workload and branch needs.

 

Salary:

NZD 30 – 35 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

 

Minimum Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

a)        A strong sense of honesty, integrity, and reliability

b)       High level of accuracy and attention to detail

c)        A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; OR   A minimum of three years’ relevant experience in the banking or financial services sector

d)        Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset

e)         Proficiency in computer skills

f)        Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

g)        Understanding of banking regulations and operational procedures in New Zealand is preferred
