Forklift Operator

Location: Auckland
Job Type: a minimum of 30 hours to maximum of 50 hours, in full time.
Salary: $27 - 30 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to join our factory team in Henderson, Auckland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload goods efficiently while ensuring safety and accuracy in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach truck, or pallet jacks) to move materials within the factory/warehouse.
2. Load and unload goods from trucks and storage areas safely.
3. Stack and arrange products in designated locations.
4. Conduct routine checks on forklifts and report any mechanical issues.
5. Follow all workplace health and safety regulations and procedures.
6. Assist with inventory management and stocktaking.
7. Work collaboratively with warehouse/factory staff to maintain workflow.
8. Keep work areas clean and organized.

Requirements:

1. Valid OSH forklift license (F endorsement preferred).
2. Previous production experience in a warehouse, factory, or logistics environment with at least 2 years, or a level 2 or 3 relevant qualification.
3. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
4. Strong understanding of workplace health and safety protocols.
5. Good communication and teamwork skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
