We are looking to expand our sink, basin & vanity offer (both in NZ, the Pacific Islands and other export markets) and require an Industrial Designer | Engineer to assist us with this, from development through to production.

Architectural Products & Technologies (APT) is the proud distributor of premium decorative surface brands such as Corian® Solid Surface, FENIX Nano Tech Matt surface, ARPA HPL and LAPITEC Sintered Stone. These surfaces are used in residential kitchens, bathrooms & laundries, and in a range of commercial fit-out applications.

We are looking to expand our sink, basin & vanity offer (both in NZ, the Pacific Islands and other export markets) and require an Industrial Designer | Engineer to assist us with this, from development through to production.

Location of Work: Penrose, Auckland

Number of Vacancies: 1

Type of employment: Permanent position, at least 30 hours per week

Days required: Monday to Friday

Pay: $34 - $38 per hour 

Key Tasks:
__Responsible for the product development of sinks, basins, vanities, etc.

__Analyzing the requirements and formulating design concepts.

__Preparing 2D/3D drawings and specifications of products.

__Determining materials and production methods.

__CNC/robot programing to build 3D mold for production.

__Quality control of finished products.

Successful applicants will have:

Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in the industry, including

·       Management of entire work-flow process (from measurement to drawings to production to installation).

·       Product Development (from concept to design to drawings to prototype).

·       Experience in Hydraulic Press Molds development and thermoforming using thermo-plastics (solid surfaces)

·       Robotics & CNC programming & operation skills

·       Auto-cad drawing and UX 3-D modelling skills
