We are seeking applicants for the challenging and demanding role of Store Manager.  Someone with the ability to take on the responsibility for the operational performance of our store.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Meet and actively manage labor, sales, and margin goals determined in
    conjunction with the General Manager.
  • Analyse margin data and reestablish strategies as necessary to meet target
    margins.
  • Participate in development of annual budget and long-term strategic planning for
    labor, operating expenses, and capital spending.
  • Adapt pricing structure that meets budget goals.
  • Monitors associate performance and effectively recommends personnel action
    such as hiring, firing, layoff, promotion, demotion, and disciplinary action.
  • Maintains confidentiality concerning associates, store sales, and Company
    information.
  • Prepares the weekly sales and labor projections for the Grocery Department in
    order to maximize sales and profits.
  • Manages the Grocery Department staff including hiring, training, scheduling,
    coaching, and initiating required performance reviews.
  • Orders grocery product and maintains inventory levels according to Division
    directives.

Requirements for the role:

  • Proven relevant work experience (3 years) or a relevant diploma or higher qualification
  • A genuine interest in working in the supermarket sector
  • A positive, customer-focused attitude with loads of enthusiasm, physically able and reliable
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

This role has a minimum of 35 hours per week guaranteed.

The pay rate is $30-34 per hour.
