Position Overview:
We are currently hiring three Commercial Cleaners to join our team for immediate start in Auckland. These roles involve maintaining hygiene and cleanliness at various commercial sites, including offices, retail spaces, and shared facilities. You will be assigned specific sites and shifts based on your availability and location. The successful candidates must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks in commercial buildings such as:
- Offices and boardrooms
- Staff kitchens and dining areas
- Toilets and washrooms
- Reception and waiting areas
- Corridors and stairwells
- Dusting, wiping down surfaces, and sanitising high-touch areas
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors (including hard floors and carpets)
- Emptying bins and safely disposing of rubbish
- Replenishing bathroom and kitchen supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper)
- Cleaning interior glass, mirrors, and glass partitions
- Operating commercial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, polishers, or carpet extractors (training provided)
- Adhering to cleaning schedules, timeframes, and health & safety standards
- Reporting any damages, hazards, or irregularities to the supervisor
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, healthcare, hospitality, or industrial setting (preferred)
- Good spoken and written communication skills (High standard English required)
- High attention to detail and ability to meet hygiene standards
- Able to follow instructions, work independently, and manage time efficiently
- Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks, lift equipment or rubbish bags, and be on your feet for extended periods
- Punctual, reliable, and well-presented
- Able to pass a criminal background check (Ministry of Justice check required)
- Legally entitled to work in New Zealand (valid work visa, residency, or citizenship)
- Must have a can-do attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred But Not Essential:
- NZ Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle (some sites not accessible via public transport or require multiple locations per shift)
- Site Safe or relevant H&S certification
- First Aid certificate
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning chemicals and equipment
