We are seeking a full-time Manager at Auto Bond Vehicles Limited in Te Kauwhata, Waikato, who is ready to assume the Management position and lead a team of drivers in delivering the quality our company is known for. The Manager, therefore, will need to be responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of operations, delivery and ensuring the staff is equipped and capable. 

 

Job Description:

  • Lead and motivate a team of drivers, managing all aspects of their daily schedules, including leave requests, potential issues, fleet availability, and ensuring compliance with policies to meet legislative and company requirements.
  • Journey/Incident Management.
  • Planning and coordinating effective strategies to ensure the business achieves profitability through budgeting the expenses and optimising the resources.
  • Monitor and maintain GPS data to optimise fleet and driver utilisation and improve solutions to the customer.
  • You will be the primary point of contact for drivers regarding any issues or incidents that may arise during the journey.
  • Health, Safety and Compliance.
  • Effectively collaborate with the team to plan and manage maintenance across the fleet, ensuring compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Effectively deal with clients on renewing their contracts and ensure that Auto Bond provides the timely and prescribed services.
  • Assigning work to drivers and ensuring the route is effectively completed within a given timeframe.
  • Managing records of accounts & staff roasters and payroll details.
  • Responsible for personnel activities, including hiring, promotions, performance management, payroll, training, and supervision.

 

What we expect from you:

  • Have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role. However, a Diploma or a bachelor’s degree will substitute the work experience requirement.
  • Have problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and inspire confidence.
  • A positive attitude, combined with self-decision-making power, will be required to handle critical situations.
  • Must be able to motivate and manage a team.
  • Ability to work on weekends and public holidays.

An Applicant will work at least 30 hours a week, with the opportunity to receive overtime when required, and will be offered a pay rate of $32 to $35 per hour to the suitable candidate.
