We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team in
Auckland. This role is perfect for a hands-on professional with a strong work ethic,
attention to detail, and a passion for high-quality construction.

The role is full-time permanent, working at least 40 hours per week. We offer a
competitive hourly rate of $28 - $32. To be successful in this role, you will need to have the
following attributes.

  1. Relevant NZQF level 4 qualification, or a minimum of 1 year of relevant
    experience.
  2. Excellent problem-solving skills.
  3. Excellent communication skills.
  4. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Your main responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, renovating, and repairing
    wooden structures and fixtures using plywood, wallboard, and other
    materials.
  2. Review and interpret drawings and specifications to determine the required
    materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
  3. Source and select appropriate timbers and materials, and prepare layouts
    for construction.
  4. Cut, shape, and assemble materials, securing components with nails and
    fasteners.
  5. Construct and install framework, roof structures, sub-flooring, and
    floorboards, ensuring structural accuracy and stability.
  6. Install fascia panels, roof sheathing, exterior wall cladding, and door and
    window frames.
  7. Assemble wooden components to create structures and fittings ready for
    installation.
  8. Cut and shape wood joints to precise measurements.
  9. Repair and refurbish existing fittings and structures.
