Position Available: Excavator Operator
Number of Positions Available: 4
Location: Auckland Region
Payrate: $32 per hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 40
Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 45

 

Key Requirements:
At least 3 year or more of relevant experience.
or
At least Level 4 or above relevant qualification.
Must hold appropriate machinery operating licence and/or certification (WTR endorsement preferred).

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate excavators and other earthmoving machinery on construction and civil sites.

  • Dig trenches, foundations, and site cuts according to project plans and specifications.

  • Load and move soil, gravel, and other materials as required.

  • Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and operational.

  • Follow safety protocols and comply with site regulations at all times.

  • Read and interpret plans, measurements, and levels for precise excavation.

  • Coordinate with site supervisors and team members to complete tasks efficiently.

  • Report any mechanical faults or safety hazards to management immediately.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Ensure minimal disruption to surrounding structures and services during operation.
