Payrate: $36 per hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30
Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 40

 

Key Requirements:
At least 2 years or more of relevant experience.
or
At least Level 4 or above relevant qualification.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise, and manage daily operations of the orchard to ensure optimal crop production.

  • Supervise orchard workers, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.

  • Oversee irrigation, fertilisation, pruning, spraying, and harvesting schedules.

  • Monitor plant health and implement pest and disease management strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Manage inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, arranging maintenance as needed.

  • Maintain records related to crop performance, labour, and costs.

  • Liaise with agronomists, contractors, suppliers, and industry bodies as required.

  • Implement quality control procedures to meet market and export standards.

  • Contribute to budgeting and planning for seasonal production and long-term orchard development.
