Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with installation and commissioning of medical equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and standards

  • Perform routine inspections, repairs, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment to ensure peak performance

  • Carry out accurate calibration and testing to maintain equipment precision

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to keep equipment in optimal condition

  • Ensure corrective maintenance is performed according to engineering practices and manufacturer guidelines

  • Maintain and update equipment records to ensure full documentation

  • Oversee the responsible decommissioning and disposal of obsolete or unserviceable equipment

  • Adhere to all regulations and standards for medical equipment maintenance

  • Manage risk, quality assurance, and ensure compliance with relevant safety protocols

Skills & Qualifications:

  • NZQA Level 7 Engineering Qualification (or equivalent)

  • Proven practical experience in a similar role

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders
