The Auckland International Innovation Centre (AIIC) is a pioneering digital innovation hub committed to enhancing financial inclusion in the South Pacific through blockchain, digital wallets, and compliant fintech infrastructure. We're building NZDT, a stablecoin pegged to the New Zealand Dollar, designed to revolutionize cross-border payments in the region.

Role Overview:

We're looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our NZDT stablecoin project team. You will play a vital role in validating smart contracts, payment APIs, and wallet functions, ensuring all systems operate securely, reliably, and in compliance with financial regulations. This role involves hands-on testing of blockchain integrations, compliance tooling, and multi-currency wallets.

Key Responsibilities:

🔍 Quality Assurance for Blockchain & Wallet Infrastructure

  • Create and execute manual and automated test cases for smart contracts (Solidity/Rust-based).

  • Test key functionalities such as mint/burn, interest accrual, NFT-batch minting, and multi-sig authorization.

  • Perform black-box and white-box testing, including fuzzing and gas analysis using tools like Echidna, Slither.

💼 Payment System & API Testing

  • Test multi-currency wallet APIs, transaction logic, and real-time balance updates.

  • Validate integrations with Visa Direct, Mastercard Crypto Gateway, and card issuer SDKs.

  • Test wallet-to-wallet transfers, fiat-to-crypto flows, and on-chain/off-chain reconciliation.

🛡️ Compliance and Security Testing

  • Validate KYC/AML flows via SDKs like Zoloz.

  • Simulate suspicious transactions to ensure proper flagging by Chainalysis TRM.

  • Support audits with external security teams and perform internal security verifications.

🔁 Testing Automation & CI/CD Collaboration

  • Work closely with developers on writing test cases with ≥90% coverage.

  • Contribute to CI/CD testing workflows on GitHub Actions/GitLab.

  • Write regression, performance, and UAT test plans as part of release cycles.

Qualifications:

✅ Required:

  • experience in QA for fintech, blockchain, or payment systems.

  • Familiarity with Web3 testing frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, bug tracking tools.

  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools.

  • Knowledge of compliance testing standards (AML/CFT, PCI-DSS).

✨ Preferred:

  • Understanding of smart contract vulnerabilities and security audits.

  • Knowledge with regulated payment systems or stablecoins.

  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.
