Job Description:

Linshi Construction Ltd is an Auckland-based construction company. We are looking for carpenters to join us due to business needs. This is full-time with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Tasks include:

  1. To study drawings and specifications to decide what materials to be used and relevant installation procedures

  2. To cut materials with chainsaw, assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts with tools such as drills

  3. To repair exiting wood planks with chainsaw and electric planner

  4. To establish the framework of structures

  5. To erect framework and roof framing, lay floorboard and check the trueness of structures

  6. To nail fascia panels, sheathing roofs and ceiling batten, fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames

  7. To assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install

  8. To cut wood joints with tools such as chainsaw

  9. May construct concrete formwork

  10. May work with plastic laminates, perspex and metals

  11. Other duties may be reasonably required by the business owner or director

Working hour per week: 30 - 50

 

Job pre-requisites: 

  1. Proven 2 years’ relevant working experience or more (experiences gained in the same industry will be considered as meeting the experiences requirements)

  2. Relevant qualifications are preferable but not a must

  3. Attention to details and a hard-working attitude.

  4. physically capable of performing heavy work be able to work overtime 

  5. excellent work ethics and great time management passion for the industry.

  6. The successful candidate must not have any criminal convictions
