Position: Automotive Air-Conditioning Technician/Mechanic

Pay Rate: $27 to $32 per hour and above depending on experience.

Full time-minimum 30 hours per week

Small business, part of a large group offering high-quality, specialized automotive air-conditioning repairs and service.  

The Role:

Currently we have 1 x full-time Automotive Air-Conditioning Technician/Mechanic position available at our site located in East Tamaki, Auckland.

Responsibilities include:

·         Perform performance checks, diagnosis of faults. Servicing AC systems including repairs as may be required.

·         Provide customers with accurate and appropriate recommendations regarding their servicing and repair options in relation to their vehicle air-conditioning systems.

·         Makeup estimates for customers which would also include mechanical insurance companies.

·         Some offsite work will be required so the day is varied. There are not too many days where the routine is the same.

·         Makeup customer invoices and source parts locally and around the country. Update customer and stock computer records

·         Pickup and drop off vehicles at client's premises.

·         Actively promote our industry by taking every opportunity to educate customers about air-conditioning operation and maintenance.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Familiarity working with workshop and site equipment
  • Have the confidence to work independently without supervision
