We are a New Zealand residential property inspection company in Hawke's Bay. Our bespoke software system is at the core of our business and we seek an enthusiastic and motivated Systems Administrator to keep it running. You’ll need the relevant knowledge and experience under your belt and be looking to take care of all things software-related.
Job Title: Systems Administrator
Location: Havelock North, Hawke's Bay, may be required to travel to other locations occasionally
Type: Permanent, Full time 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary Range: $75,000 to $80,000 per annum
The Role
The position includes the following duties and responsibilities, and any duties and responsibilities reasonably incidental to those:
- Lead the management of the software system for the company(this includes implementation of new systems and processes).
- Ensure software and website are continuously operational.
- Design and manage the release of software updates to Licensees.
- Create new templates and update existing templates as and when required.
- Manage and maintain all certifications required for the continuous operation of the Betta operating systems.
- Develop training resources as required.
- Provide software support to Licensees, seeking the source and rectifying this at the root cause.
- Manage the relationship with our external systems providers – Provoke, ISN, Microsoft, iTunes, or any other.
- Set up and manage Inspector iPads, full system access for all inspectors and staff.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the Microsoft suite of products.
- Work with the management team and/or any chosen provider to ensure any systems-based development is completed in a timely manner.
- Other duties reasonably requested of them by the employer (as long as the instructions are lawful and reasonable).
Requirements
You will need a combination of the following:
- a Bachelor’s degree in IT (Web or software development) or a related field;
- A minimum of 5 years experience in IT support, system administration, or a related role;
- Experience with HTML, CSS
- Experience with Javascript template languages (HandlebarsJS) or front-end frameworks like (React/Angular)
- Experience with JSON data
- Good communication skills & patience, problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand or willingness to learn about the property inspection industry (The software we build is for our products we deliver through an app and web application)
- Ability to troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues effectively
Skills that would be helpful to have:
- Experience in Administration over Microsoft Products (Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint)
- Experience in the Microsoft power suite (Power Automate, Power BI)
- Experience in the Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)
- Knowledge of SQL databases and/or non-relational databases
- Previous customer support experience (Technical or general)
