Plant and Machinery Operator

The purpose of this role is day-to-day Machinery Operation – tractors and forklifts for orchard maintenance and assisting other teams as required.

The successful applicant will need to do the following:

• operating Forklift tractor and fertiliser spreader
• Transportation of machinery
• Machinery checks and reporting any faults on the Sitedocs app
• Ensuring proper storage of relevant machinery and equipment.
• Carrying out general maintenance and repair work on orchards
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations
• Knowledge of fertiliser handling storage and spreading

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years experience working in the horticulture industry or Crop Farms is a must. An extensive training will be provided to keen individuals lacking machinery operation experience.
• Spraying experience preferred but training will be given
• Available to work flexible hours and weekends in peak seasons
• Physically fit and able to work as part of a diverse and multicultural team

Location: Auckland

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week

Compensation will be $25-$30 per hour depending on experience
