We are a logistics and transportation company looking for two (2) Class 5 Truck Drivers for permanent full-time positions. You will be guaranteed 30 hours per week and rostered anytime 24X7, Monday to Sunday, based on work assignments. We are based in Auckland; however, you will be responsible for truck runs across New Zealand covering all regions throughout the country. We offer competitive wage between $30.00-$35.00 per hour.

 

Job Responsibilities:

·         Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods and materials to various destinations

·         Loading and unloading the truck when required

·         Load inspection and estimating weight prior to driving

·         Ensuring compliance with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight

·         Ensuring goods are stored safely and are secure

·         Maintain accurate records of deliveries and all relevant paperwork of daily activities

·         Maintain radio contact to receive and transmit instructions 

·         Provide excellent customer service, building positive relationships with clients

·         Cleaning and maintaining the truck

·         Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and report any maintenance or safety issues

·         Maintain the log book

·         Comply with all traffic regulations and maintain clean driving record

·         Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times

·         Performs all duties assigned by management in a timely manner

·         Report Incidents accurately and timely 

Requirements:

·         Clean class 5 driving licence or international equivalent

·         Must have two years of relevant work experience

·         Must have school education or higher

·         Physical ability to load and unload truck as necessary

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently

·         A strong commitment to safety and responsible driving practices

·     Flexibility to work variable hours including public holidays as you will be required to work 24x7 based on work assignments
