We are hiring for GRAND PLUMBING LIMITED, a plumbing company based in Auckland. We specialise in residential and commercial plumbing services including new builds, renovations, and maintenance work. We undertake projects across the Auckland region and are currently seeking experienced Plumbers to join our growing team.

Employment Type:               Full-time, Permanent

Days Required:                     Needs to be available from Monday to Saturday, between 7:30am to 6:30 pm

                                                May be required to work on weekends or public holidays; 

Hourly Rate:                          $30.00 - $35.00

Hours per Week:                   Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week. Up to 50 hours per week.

 

Key Responsibilities include:   

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and building plans to determine plumbing layout and materials required
• Installing and repairing pipes, fixtures, and fittings for water supply, drainage systems, and heating
• Assembling and installing valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals and non-metals
• Measuring, cutting, bending, and threading pipes using hand tools and power tools
• Testing plumbing systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Locating and clearing blockages in pipes and drains
• Installing and maintaining plumbing systems in bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, and outdoor areas
• Ensuring all work complies with New Zealand plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety at the job site and proper use of tools and equipment

 

Requirements for the applicants:

• At least 3 years of relevant plumbing experience OR a plumbing qualification or apprenticeship certificate
• Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment such as pipe cutters, threaders, soldering tools, and diagnostic devices
• Sound understanding of plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, stormwater, and gas (if applicable)
• Familiarity with NZ building and plumbing codes is advantageous
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport preferred
• Ability to attend an onsite interview preferred
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Must be reliable, punctual, and physically fit for manual tasks
• Team player with good communication skills
