Blank Leaving Tattoo Studio, established in March 2022, has quickly built a strong reputation in central Auckland. Founded by a professional tattoo artist with a background in architecture, our studio specialises in the Inkwash tattoo style—a technique that has allowed us to carve out a unique niche in the local market. Our goal is to provide high-quality tattoos in a welcoming and creative environment.

Who We Need

We’re seeking a tattoo studio manager with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the tattoo and beauty business.
  • A relevant two-year experience working in the relevant business; or
  • A New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5).
  • Fast learner, strong customer service skills, and a good team player.
  • A good work ethic and professional attitude.

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay of $32 - 35 per hour.
  • Full-time, permanent position with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Your Responsibility

  • Oversee daily operations of the tattoo studio to ensure smooth, efficient, and professional service delivery
  • Determine service offerings, manage stock levels (e.g., inks, needles, sanitising products), and maintain high hygiene and service standards
  • Develop and implement purchasing, pricing, and promotional strategies to attract and retain clients
  • Coordinate marketing and advertising initiatives, including social media, local promotions, and client engagement campaigns
  • Maintain accurate records of appointments, inventory, financial transactions, and client information in accordance with privacy and health regulations
  • Prepare and manage budgets, monitor studio performance
  • Recruit, train, and supervise studio staff
  • Support tattoo artists with scheduling, client coordination, and workspace readiness
  • Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and industry hygiene standards
  • Foster a welcoming and creative studio environment that upholds the studio’s reputation and values.
