Minimum Hours per week: at least 30 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults in vehicle engines and components.
- Dismantle, rebuild, repair, or replace engines, mechanical parts, and systems.
- Perform regular servicing, including changing lubricants (oil), coolants (radiator fluids), and filters.
- Carry out preventative maintenance, such as brake replacement and system checks.
- Test drive vehicles following servicing to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of customer details, vehicles, parts used, and service history.
- Inspect key components and identify potential problem areas to prevent future issues.
- Assist the WOF inspector with brake and steering system inspections.
- Carry out other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Director.
Requirements:
- At least two years of relevant experience.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in diesel engine servicing and repair is preferred.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
