Altex Coatings is seeking a skilled and physically fit Paint Maker to join our dynamic production team in Bay of Plenty. This is a hands-on role perfect for individuals with a strong background in manufacturing and a commitment to safety and precision.

This is a full-time and permanent role. This role will work a minimum of 40 hours and up to 40 hours maximum each week. The role will be paid $59,280.00 per annum. No overtime. Travel within the region will be covered if required to do so.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture paints and coatings to high-quality standards
  • Accurately prepare and mix batch formulations
  • Handle and manage raw materials with precision
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Operate machinery and mixing equipment
  • Collect and manage product samples
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols

What We're Looking For & Essential Requirements:

  • Physical fitness is CRUCIAL - this is a physically demanding role inlcuding heavy lifting, Manual material handling and Operating equipment
  • Previous experience working with hazardous materials
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience relating to painting, prep-painting, coatings within the manufacturing or metal industry
  • Forklift license
  • Approved Handler certification under HSNO legislation
  • Current NZ driver's license
