3 experienced Tilers

Our tiling company is hiring 3 skilled and experienced Tilers to join our team for our projects in Auckland.

Your duties include:

•  Inspect, measure areas, calculate the number of tiles needed, while also considering patterns and potential waste from cuts.
• Clean walls and floors for tiling work
• Remove old tiles, grout, or cements from surfaces
• Fill gaps, cracks and holes, level uneven walls, floors and surfaces with plaster 
• Choose the right tiles for the job, cut them to size and shape, skillfully use tools and machines like tile cutters and wet saws. 
• Apply adhesive to both the tiles and the prepared surface
• Lay the tiles in place, ensuring they are level and aligned. 
• Make tiles to flush with corners, edges and fittings.
• Apply grout to the joints, clean up excess grout, and seal the tiles to protect them from moisture and staining.
• Apply waterproof membranes, especially in bathrooms and showers. 
• Specialize in decorative mosaic work, and intricate designs.
• Polish when finishing 
• Use equipment, machinery & tools in a responsible & safe manner
• Follow Health and safety procedure strictly.

Requirements you need to fulfil:

• Must have at least 2 years experience in tiling or in construction.
• Must be physical fit and high stamina for heavy lifting
•  Good communication skills, polite, punctual and hardworking
• Good understanding of different types of tiles and adhesives, and how to work with them safely and effectively. 
•  Be able to work independently or solely in charge at one project, following director’s instruction
• Be able to work from Monday to Saturday
• Always follow health and safety procedure strictly
• Drug test might be required at construction sites

The positions are guaranteed of minimum 30 to 40 working hours per week with a pay rate of minimum $26/ hour to a maximum of $33/ hour.
