Welder/Fabricator

We are looking for a permanent full-time welder/fabricator for our client - one of the largest suppliers of process technology for the food and beverage in dustry and a wide range of their industries. In this role you will be part of a successful team who is proud to support dairy farmers around the world to produce leading dairy products.  You will be a competent and productive Tig & Mig Welder/Fabricator in Stainless Steel and be able to deliver high quality workmanship within specified time requirements.

You will be required to work onsite in Hamilton, with weekly guaranteed hours of at least 42.5 and a gross annual salary between $75,000 and $85,000.

You will be required to undertake the following job duties:

• Reading blueprints and drawings to understand job requirements.
• Cutting, shaping and bending metal sections.
• Selecting, cleaning and preparing proper metal sections.
• Welding metal sections using various techniques, bolting and riveting.
• Working closely with other project members to ensure health & safety rules areadhered to.
• Completing all structures to the highest quality workmanship.

The Successful candidate will have the following attributes:

• Relevant Trade certificate and experience in manufacturing components.
• At least 5 years Mig/Tig Welding experience, purge welding 1.5/2.0mm.
• Be able to weld to dairy industry standard.
• Sound Stainless Steel Fabrication skills.
• Ability to use a range of machines
• Produce work of a high quality
• Work productively
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Display initiative in solving problems and be an innovative thinker
• Have cross-functional skills and the ability to train others if required
