About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Class 2 Driver to join a family-owned metal recycling business in the Ashburton area. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, combining driving with yard work. Your day will involve:
  • Driving a Class 2 truck to customer sites to pick up raw metal products.
  • Returning to base to assist with sorting and recycling (ratio 50/50 driving vs. yard work).
  • Growing into a role with 80% driving over time
  • You’ll need to be physically fit, personable, and ready to roll up your sleeves in the yard when required.
What You’ll Bring:
  • A Class 2 License – confident and safe driving skills.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanour – you’ll be the face of the business when dealing with customers.
  • A strong work ethic – honest, trustworthy, and willing to put the effort in.
Key Details:
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30/4:45 pm (40+ hours per week).
  • Start Date: Immediate.
  • Type: Starting as a temporary assignment, with the potential and possibility for a long term role
  • Location: Ashburton area
  • You need to be drug free and pass a pre-employment drug screen and MOJ check.
