Job Summary:

Location of the job: Bay of Plenty   

Job Title: Delivery Driver 

Reporting to: Manager 

Hours of Work: A minimum of 30 hours per week with core hours are between 1:00 am –7:00 am, with a high degree of flexibility required to meet the demands of the business. 

Pay Range: $25.00 to $30.00 (based on the skills and experience)

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Pick up News Papers from distributors and deliver them to different locations and through different routes Rotorua, Matamata, putaruru , Tokoroa and Whakatane. 

  • Follow routes and time schedules. 

  • Assist with loading to ensure goods are arranged for easy of delivery. 

  • Ensure the van is loaded appropriately and the material is recorded correctly. 

  • Follow Health and Safety regulations and safety standards. 

  • Make regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely. 

  • Must be physically fit for manual handling of deliveries.

Key Skills / Attributes: 

  • Must have a valid Class 1 New Zealand or Overseas Driving Licence

  • Punctual and reliable

  • Ability to follow policies and procedures of company guidelines and standards.
