Neer Foods Limited is seeking a dedicated Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our convenience retail store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing retail operations, ensuring high customer service standards, maintaining stock levels, implementing marketing strategies, and ensuring compliance with all legal and safety regulations.
Retail Operations & Business Management
Organise and control the overall operations of the store to ensure smooth business functions.
Develop and implement store policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
Monitor daily operations, ensure proper opening and closing procedures, and resolve operational issues.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders.
Product & Stock Management
Determine the product mix and stock levels, ensuring an optimal selection of goods to meet customer demand.
Conduct stocktakes, manage stock rotation, and minimise losses through efficient inventory control.
Implement purchasing policies, negotiate with suppliers, and manage procurement to ensure cost-effective stock management. Oversee stock ordering, receiving, and storage in line with best practices.
Sales, Marketing & Customer Service
Set sales targets and develop strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
Implement pricing strategies considering market trends, supplier costs, and competitor pricing.
Develop and oversee promotional campaigns and advertising strategies to enhance the store’s visibility.
Engage with customers, provide product recommendations, and ensure high-quality customer service.
Address customer concerns and complaints professionally, maintaining customer satisfaction.
Financial & Budget Management
Maintain financial records, including daily sales reports, stock movement, and cash flow.
Oversee the preparation of budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.
Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for business growth.
Ensure the accurate handling of transactions, banking procedures, and reconciliation of accounts.
Staff Management & Compliance
Recruit, select, train, and supervise store staff, ensuring they perform effectively.
Develop staff rosters, ensuring adequate coverage during operational hours.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to improve skills and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, occupational health and safety (OSH) regulations, and store policies.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
Skills & Experience Required
At least 3 year of experience in a retail management role, preferably in a superette or similar retail environment, OR Atleast a qualification at Level 4 or higher on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF)
Either Work Experience or Qualification is required.
