Looking for experienced painters

We are Building Guys from Auckland. Our focus is on providing quality home renovations to our valued clients. We are good contractors that love building stuff. It’s our passion. We get excited at the start of every job and sad at the end because the fun has to stop. At current, we are looking for experienced painters to join to team, who share our passion for work and aim to achieve the optimal results.
 
 
Key duties of the role:

-Place drop sheets from paint splattering and prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes and cracks

-Apply coats of platers and level coats to uniform thickness

-Mix and match colors to achieve desired results

-Cover holes of joins and nails with wet plaster and sealing compounds

-Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment

-Smooth the wall, corners, and ceilings with brushes and sand paper

-Apply primer and paint to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes or rollers

-Ensure even coverage and smooth finishes

-Maintain an effective and tidy working area

-Adhere to safety protocols and regulations

The desired candidate should be:

-Experienced painter with minimum 3 years proven work experience

-An eye to detail, be hard working, reliable and motivated

-Good communication skills

-Able to deal with unexpected events and make decisions

-Can work well and efficiently both unsupervised and within a team

-Good level of physical ability

 

We offer $25.50 - $32 per hour for suitable candidate, depending on skills and experience. The job has minimum 30 hours’ work per week.
