HY Engineering LTD is an Auckland based and small but growing company specializing in welding and spray painting services for construction projects.  As our workload expands, we are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Spray Painter to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as required

  • Mix and apply paints, primers, and coatings using airless and conventional spray equipment

  • Ensure coating applications meet specified thickness, texture, and quality standards

  • Follow technical instructions and safety protocols for handling hazardous materials

  • Maintain and clean spray painting equipment and work areas

  • Conduct quality checks and touch-ups as needed

  • Adhere to project timelines and coordinate with welders and site supervisors

  • Assist with loading/unloading and basic maintenance tasks when required

 

Skills and Experience：

  • Have a minimum of a NZQF Level 4 qualification in a related Industrial Spray Painting field or a bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline.
  • Alternatively, at least two years of relevant work experience in spray painting or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of surface preparation and coating techniques

  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and paint system requirements

  • Familiarity with safety practices and PPE use in a painting environment

  • Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team

  • Physically fit and able to work in workshop and/or outdoor conditions
