We Finest Builders Ltd’s main business is construction and property development. We currently have an exciting opportunity for two Carpenters to join us. We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and doesn’t mind helping the team wherever needed. You will be responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings. Other duties will include cutting and measuring materials according to a client's requirements.

Job Location: Auckland

Employment type: Permanent

Days required:  Monday to Saturday

Hours per week: minimum of 30 hours a week is guaranteed, maximum of 50 hours per week

Hourly rate: $29 – $33

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation
  • Conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs and other fixtures as required
  • Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials
  • Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment
  • Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects
  • Provide excellent customer service

Job Requirements:

  • Good level of physical ability
  • Must not have any criminal convictions
  • Must pass the pre-employed drug test

Qualifications and Experience:

Relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification in carpentry , or at least two years of relevant experience in carpentry.
