This position is responsible for programming all CNC machines within the workshop. The role involves using Solid Edge, Solid Works and AutoCad software to draft and detail variations to contract works, small jobs and modifications. Additionally the role supports the Production and Workshop managers with alterations, material calculations and plate development.

A relevant level 6 Diploma or above is required.

 

Minimum 30 hour working week.

 

  • Programming all CNC machines within the workshop to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
  • Nest & program plate cutting jobs and issue for fabrication.
  • Draft & detail variations to contracts using AutoCad, Solid Edge & Solid Works.
  • Prepare & detail small jobs using the appropriate software.
  • Assist Production manager with minor alterations and additions to existing fabrication drawings.
  • Create plate development drawings & cutting files.
  • Calculate and order material as required.
  • Program & nest Cell beams including precamber calculations.
  • Other duties as required by the Production Manager.
