Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented System Accountant to lead the implementation and integration of Xero Accounting Software across our organization. This role is pivotal in transforming our finance operations, ensuring a smooth transition to Xero, and optimizing its functionalities to meet Youtap’s dynamic business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of Xero Accounting Software, including planning, configuration, testing, data migration, training, and go-live support.

  • Analyze current accounting systems, processes, and reporting frameworks to develop an effective transition plan.

  • Customize and configure Xero to align with Youtap's financial reporting, compliance, and operational requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, IT, Operations) to integrate Xero with existing systems and tools (e.g., payroll, invoicing, CRM).

  • Migrate historical financial data accurately and validate migrated data for integrity and completeness.

  • Develop and document standard operating procedures and user guides for system use and maintenance.

  • Train and support finance team members and key stakeholders in using Xero effectively.

  • Monitor post-implementation performance and address any technical or functional issues.

  • Stay up-to-date with Xero’s new features and functionalities and recommend ongoing improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

  • Certified Xero Professional

  • Proven experience implementing Xero or other cloud-based accounting systems.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Solid project management skills, with experience managing system implementation projects.

  • Proficiency in data migration, system configuration, and workflow automation within Xero.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with fintech or technology-based business environments.

  • Experience integrating Xero with third-party apps and APIs.

  • Understanding of international financial operations, multi-currency environments, and tax compliance.
