Job Description:

Rapid Builders Ltd is an Auckland-based construction company. We are looking for several carpenters to join us due to business needs. This is full-time with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Tasks include:

  • To study drawings and specifications to decide what materials to be used and relevant installation procedures

  • To cut materials with chainsaw, assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts with tools such as drills

  • To repair exiting wood planks with chainsaw and electric planner

  • To establish the framework of structures

  • To erect framework and roof framing, lay floorboard and check the trueness of structures

  • To nail fascia panels, sheathing roofs and ceiling batten, fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames

  • To assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install

  • To cut wood joints with tools such as chainsaw

  • May construct concrete formwork

  • May work with plastic laminates, perspex and metals

  • Other duties may be reasonably required by the business owner or director

Job pre-requisites: 

  • Proven 1 years’ relevant working experience or more (experiences gained in the same industry will be considered as meeting the experiences requirements)

  • Relevant qualification is preferable but not a must

  • Attention to details and a hard-working attitude.

  • physically capable to perform heavy work be able to work overtime 

  • excellent work ethic and great time management passion for the industry.

  • The successful candidate must not have any criminal convictions

Job Salary : $30.00 – 33.00

Working location: Auckland

Working hour per week: 30 - 50
